Before :: Smack dab on the map, it's Miami City. Strays come fully equipped at young ages to tackle the roughest hurricanes. South Beach has more to take in than the Jersey Shore. Time-square happens at every corner. Miami City isn't like Kansas babe, 'cus the packs and gangs will have your lips peeled around every corner. Hah, Miami's mutts hold their turfs with a primitive mentality which runs so viciously in their city slick veins. And Rocky, let go of that old guidette because the hot she-devils here will fulfill your fantasies. Feelin' hot yet? Oh you soon will. Stretch your legs and hit the beach. Miami is breathing on you.

[/u] No one listened to the warnings and the threats given out by the chief meteorologists, nor how anxious very other being seemed. It was marked the more pandemic hurricane to ever struck land, and you guessed it, South Florida was in it's path. One called her Andrew's mother, of the size and sheer ferocity that the hurricane was collecting, with winds over the 170mph, and eye was dubbed over 10 miles wide. She was named Hurricane Kate, and came ravishing the lands. Miami didn't know what hit it as it finally crashed upon them, more then thousands of humans lost their lives to their idiotic acts of stubbornness. That was then, this is now.

Many pets suffered that toll because of their humans, and others escaped to find some for of shelter. Their hatred for this had never been so great. As the massive hurricane swept over Miami, it took it's toll even greater, being even slower then recorded. At a mere 7mphs, Kate made sure to bring high tides, having most of Miami under or with water. It's said [insert name of island rich ppl lived, i forgot D8 ] is now underwater with these new changes. Cats are nowhere to be seen and humans are quite a rarity after these events.
Even the climate control has shifted, with near freezing and rigid temperatures. It is now 2020, roughly a few months after Hurricane Kate bashed and destroyed everything in her site. Miami is not Miami any more, the epitome of fun has become no more then heaps of ruins, a playground for infesting rats and roaches. Humans are trying to survive with what they have, the government unable to help them anymore. They must suffer for their own minds' wrong doing. And the dogs you ask?
Many of them have been claimed victim to Kate, but some did survive, but the conditions they are in are not even shelter worthy. They are now coming out of the places they concealed themselves to survive, becoming visible, and into daylight. Humans are to watch out, because these dogs aren't like the Miami dogs they are used to. Trust me, they don't settle on just feeding from rats.
