Okay, it sucks that Miami is down. And when I say 'sucks,' I actually mean 'sucks big balls.'
I know that this is hard for everyone, I mean, I've been a part of Miami since like... 2006, I think? So it's heartbreaking to see this site go down. I've been a part of too many sites that shut down and all the great people who worked so hard to stay together and pull off some great plot lines all go their separate ways, never to see each other again.
So what I'm saying is this. I have a site with a friend of mine. I'd love you guys to come on over, even if you just want to test it out or poke around. It's different from Miami, sure, but I'll let you guys draw your own conclusions.
Miami is a wonderful site and it hurts to see it go under, but I want to keep in contact with you guys. I have had so much fun over the years with this great group of people and I’d hate to see you all splinter off and never have the opportunity to RP with you all ever again.
If anyone reads this, just stop by, take a look. Who knows? Maybe Miami will one day reopen (Rusty, get on that!) and we can all come back here like nothing happened. But until that day, it would mean a lot to me knowing that you’re all around and within reach so I can continue to have great threads with you guys.

That was as far back as I could find and even that was after Miami was reformatted, so I actually don't know how long I was a part of the first site xD
